best AI humanizer for non-native speakers? my English already sounds weird to detectors lol
International student here. My English is good but I sometimes use sentence structures from my native language (Korean) which apparently makes AI detectors think I am a robot. My professor even said my writing “reads like AI” which was honestly offensive.
I need a humanizer that:
– Does not overcomplicate my already-complex sentences
– Keeps my vocabulary natural (some tools replace simple words with unnecessarily fancy ones)
– Actually understands ESL writing patterns
Tried two so far:
– Quillbot: Made my writing MORE robotic somehow
– Undetectable AI: Changed too many of my intentional word choices
Has anyone found a tool that is good for non-native speakers specifically?

Log In to ReplyMy recommendation: don't rely on any single tool. Run your text through at least 2-3 different detectors to get a better picture. What passes one might fail another.
As someone who writes in English as a second language, these detectors flag my writing way more often than native speakers. It's really unfair and my university doesn't seem to care.
seconding this recommendation
wish I'd found this earlier
The biggest issue with these tools is that they all perform differently depending on the type of content. Academic papers with lots of citations seem to confuse them more than regular essays.

Honestly the paid tools aren't worth it unless you're using them regularly. I paid for a month, used it twice, and cancelled. If you only need it occasionally just stick with the free tier.
