Does Turnitin detect content modified by AI humanizers now?
This has been on my mind lately and I wanted to get the community’s thoughts on it.
The more I look into this the more complicated it gets. On one hand I completely understand the arguments for it but on the other hand there are some serious problems that nobody seems to be addressing.
I think the reality is somewhere in the middle. We need to be more nuanced in how we approach this instead of treating it as black and white.
Anyone have additional resources or experiences to share? The more information we pool together the better.

Thank you for including actual test results instead of just opinions. This is the kind of evidence-based discussion we need more of.
I had the opposite experience actually but I think context matters a lot.
I disagree with some of your conclusions but appreciate the thorough testing. The methodology was solid even if I interpret the results differently.
Can confirm this matches my experience. I tested a few of these myself and got similar results.
Great post. One thing I would add is that results can vary a lot depending on the length of the text you are testing. Shorter pieces tend to be less reliable.
This needs to be higher up. More people need to see this.
