Office hours etiquette, what to ask and how to not be awkward
Wanted to drop some tips that helped me go from struggling to actually doing well.
I spent way too much time on this honestly but I think it was worth it. The key insight is that there’s no one size fits all answer here. What works for one person might not work for another and that’s ok. The important thing is to find what works for you.
After going through all of this I realized that the conventional wisdom is mostly wrong. Not completely wrong but definitely misleading in some important ways. I’ll break it down step by step so you can see what I mean.
