setting up your dorm study space for maximum focus
Ok so I’ve been experimenting with different approaches this semester and here’s what I’ve found.
After going through all of this I realized that the conventional wisdom is mostly wrong. Not completely wrong but definitely misleading in some important ways. I’ll break it down step by step so you can see what I mean.
I know a lot of people have strong opinions on this but I think the data speaks for itself. I tried to be as objective as possible and test everything under the same conditions. Your mileage may vary of course but these numbers are hard to argue with.

The part about false positives really resonated with me. I think that's the most overlooked aspect of this whole debate.
I'm a TA and I can tell you that from the instructor side, things look very different. The pressure to use these tools is real.
