Undetectable AI vs Phrasly vs StealthGPT comparison
I spent the last two weeks testing everything I could find related to this topic and wanted to share my results with the community.\n\nI tested with three different text samples – a personal narrative, an argumentative essay, and a research summary. Each one was 400-600 words. All written by me without any AI assistance.\n\nThe differences between tools were much bigger than I expected. Some flagged my human writing as AI while others missed obvious AI content.\n\nAnyone have additional resources or experiences to share? The more information we pool together the better.

Log In to ReplyI had a completely different experience with this. For me the results were actually pretty good but I think it depends on what kind of content you are testing.
Totally agree with this. Same experience here.
The fact that universities are spending thousands on these tools when the accuracy is this questionable is wild to me.
Just went through this exact situation last month. Ended up having to do an oral defense of my paper which was actually fine because I wrote every word myself.
Thanks for adding this perspective. Really helpful.
As a TA I can confirm that the detection tools give inconsistent results all the time. We are told to use professional judgment not just rely on the numbers.
I wonder how these tools handle collaborative writing. My program has a lot of group projects and the AI detection on those must be a nightmare.
Quick tip for anyone self-checking - run your paper through the detector BEFORE you do any grammar corrections. Grammarly and similar tools can increase your AI score.
