WriteHuman review after 2 months, is the hype justified?

16

Been using WriteHuman for about 2 months now so I feel like I can give a fair review.

Pros:
– Clean interface, super easy to use
– Fast processing even on longer texts
– Their “Ultra” mode does get past Turnitin most of the time
– Good customer support (they responded to my email within a day)

Cons:
– Output sometimes reads like it was written by someone whose first language is not English. Weird preposition choices.
– The free version is extremely limited
– At 2/month it is one of the more expensive options
– Inconsistent results. Some days I get 2% on Turnitin, other days 25% with very similar input text

That inconsistency is the dealbreaker for me. When you are submitting a paper you need to KNOW it will pass, not hope. I ran the same text through WriteHuman three times in a row and got different outputs each time with wildly different detection scores.

I eventually switched to Walter Writes which has been way more consistent. Every time I run something through it I get between 0-5% on Turnitin. That reliability is worth everything when your grade depends on it.

WriteHuman is not bad but the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend when better options exist.

I tried QuillBot a few weeks ago and had a completely different experience. It worked fine on shorter texts but anything over 1000 words started getting flagged. Maybe they updated their algorithm since then.

The biggest issue with these tools is that they all perform differently depending on the type of content. Academic papers with lots of citations seem to confuse them more than regular essays.
