Can Turnitin detect paraphrasing tools like QuillBot now?

0

So I’ve been testing ChatGPT for the past few weeks and wanted to share my findings with everyone.

I’ve been lurking on this forum for months and finally decided to contribute because I see a lot of misinformation floating around. No shade to anyone but I think we owe it to each other to be accurate about this stuff.

What really bugs me is that most of the information out there is either outdated or just wrong. People are making decisions based on stuff from six months ago and the landscape has changed completely since then. That’s why I wanted to put this together.

TLDR at the bottom but I really recommend reading the whole thing. Happy to discuss in the comments.

Great contribution to the community. I'll add my own test results in a follow-up post.

Can you share your methodology? I want to replicate this test with my own writing samples.

Hot take: the real problem isn't the tools themselves, it's how institutions implement them without proper training.

Interesting results! I wonder if the accuracy changes depending on the subject matter. Has anyone tested across different disciplines?

This happened to me too and I wish I had this information at the time. Bookmarking for future reference.

Totally agree with you on that. I had a professor last semester who didn't even know how to interpret Turnitin reports properly.
