GPTZero accuracy report: I tested 20 essays
Quick update on the AI detection landscape – things have changed a lot since last month.
I know a lot of people have strong opinions on this but I think the data speaks for itself. I tried to be as objective as possible and test everything under the same conditions. Your mileage may vary of course but these numbers are hard to argue with.
I’ve been lurking on this forum for months and finally decided to contribute because I see a lot of misinformation floating around. No shade to anyone but I think we owe it to each other to be accurate about this stuff.
Hope this helps someone out there. Let me know if you have questions and I’ll try to answer them.

I didn't think about it that way but you make a really good argument.
This is really helpful, thanks for putting this together! I had a similar experience with Claude last semester.
Following this thread. I'm dealing with the same situation right now and any updates would be appreciated.
Just went through something similar and I wish I had found this post earlier. The appeal process is way more stressful than it needs to be.
