my professor uses AI detection wrong and it cost me a grade
I want to have an honest conversation about academic integrity and AI because the situation is more nuanced than most people think.
I talked to a few other students about this and we all had similar experiences which makes me think this isn’t just a me problem. If you’re dealing with the same thing definitely drop a comment because I think we can help each other figure this out.
What really bugs me is that most of the information out there is either outdated or just wrong. People are making decisions based on stuff from six months ago and the landscape has changed completely since then. That’s why I wanted to put this together.
That’s all I’ve got for now but I’ll update this post if anything changes. Stay safe out there everyone.

100%. I've been saying this for months and nobody listens.
Solid analysis. I've been testing Winston AI myself and got similar numbers. The consistency is getting better but still not where it needs to be.
That's interesting because my school handles it completely differently.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I think more students need to hear about this.

I disagree with some of your conclusions but respect the effort you put into testing. My experience with ZeroGPT has been different.
