my university now requires AI disclosure forms for every assignment

Just wanted to share something I have been dealing with and see if anyone else relates.\n\nI have been going back and forth on this for a while. At first I had a strong opinion but after doing more research I realized things are not as clear cut as I thought.\n\nWhat I think most people miss is the practical impact on students who are just trying to learn and do well in their classes.\n\nAnyone have additional resources or experiences to share? The more information we pool together the better.

I wonder how these tools handle collaborative writing. My program has a lot of group projects and the AI detection on those must be a nightmare.

I had a completely different experience with this. For me the results were actually pretty good but I think it depends on what kind of content you are testing.

For anyone in a similar situation I would recommend documenting your writing process. Keep drafts and revision history. It is the best defense against false accusations.
